2. T: Now, listen to the music. Do you know the name of the song?

S: Happy New Year.

T: Oh, great. You already know the name of the song.

  Lets try to sing it happily together.

(学生拍手唱)

 

3. T: Well done, boys and girls.

  So what can we do in New Year?

  (You can tell us in Chinese if you want.)

S: 唱歌跳舞/ 拜年/ 吃大餐。

T: Good. We can do many interesting things in New Year. And, we can get a lot of presents, too. New Year is coming. Today I have some New Year presents for you.

T: Happy new year.

S: Happy New Year/

T: This is for you.

S: Thank you.

(给学生几颗糖果。)

T: Look, whats that?

  1. T: Do you like your presents?

S: Yes.

T: Do you like New Year?

S: Yes.

T: So please remember to greet others in English for holidays,

  Then all of us can feel the happiness in English learning.  So, lets say Happy New Year.

Step 2 Presentation

  1. T: Look, it is New Year. Someone is visiting Mikes family. Who is he? Do you know? (学生观看卡通。)

S: Uncle John.

(教授Uncle John并把头像贴在黑板上。)

 

  1. T: Uncle comes to visit Mikes family today.

What presents does he give? Lets watch the cartoon.

(教授单词ball, robot, doll并把图片贴在黑板上。)

 

  1. T: Who are they for? Please read the story by yourselves.

  学生带着问题读课文。

T: Who can match the presents with the children?

请学生上黑板连一连

T: Now, lets try to act. If you are Uncle John, please try to say This is for you. (板书并带全班读句子 This is for you.)

T: Who wants to be Mike/ Helen?

T: Who wants to be Uncle John?

  1. T: Now, lets learn the story. Please listen and repeat.

(学生逐句听录音跟读课文。)

1)读到第三幅图How nice.的时候。

T: When you get a present. Remember to open the box immediately and say wow how nice, thank you and something else. OK?

S: OK.

T: But what else can we say S: .. (教师及时板书相关语句。)

T: Well. These are what we can say when we get presents.

2)读到第五幅图时

T: Look, Helen is far away from the box. So what does she say?

S: Whats that?

此时板书并带读这个句子

T: Whats that?

S: Its a balloon.

T: Now, look at the pictures. Im Helen. Who wants to be Mike?

(教师和学生示范表演3,5两幅图。)

T: Can you act them out in pairs?

S: Yes.

(学生小组表演这两幅图。)

T: Who can try?

(请一组学生上来展示,教师用Can he stand here and say Whats that?来给学生纠错。)

4)读到第六幅图时教授Its a robot. Its for Tim.

 

Step 3 Consolidation

  1. T: Now please try to read the story fluently. You can read in roles. Or act out the story without the help of your English book.

(学生小组读课文。)

T: Who wants to come here and act out the story?

T: Well, lets act out the story together in the cartoon.

 

  1. T: You are fantastic. Now lets put this story in a song.

T: Good job, boys and girls.Now a quick test, lets see if you can remember what we learnt today.

  Look, this is New Year. What can the boy say?

S: Happy New. Year.

T: If your want to give a present. What can you say?

S: This is for you.

T: If you received a present. What can you say?

S: How nice./ Thank you./

T: If your want to know what the present is. What can you say?

S: Whats this?

T: If you want to know what it is? What can you say?

S: Whats that?

T: Great.Youve done a good job in this lesson. You are so terrific in this class.

 

Step 5 Task

T: Now,the next day is the second day of the New Year. Uncle John is at home.

  Look, whos this boy?

S: Son.

T: Yes, this is Uncle Johns son, Tom.

带读Tom.

T: Now, Helen and Mike come to visit Uncle and John. 

  What presents do they bring? What do they say? Please make a short play in groups.

 

Homework:

1 Listen and read this story after class, pay attention to imitate the intonation.

2 Try to collect some more holiday greetings, such as Merry Christmas!  (PPT上加个圣诞标志!)

3. Make a new year present for your mum and dad, remember to give the presents in English.
